Mechanic is a field to study about the power and its movement to work on the object.

When you hold a plastic board with sloping upwards to its front end and you run, you feel the power of the plastic board to try to move upwards. This mechanism is similar to that of flying airplanes. When an airplane moves forward, its wings catch the wind. The wind which passed by the wings turns down a little. As a result, it puts upward force on the wings. This is caused as a reaction force of downward flow of air. It became a lifting power to lift up the whole airplane.

The temperature in a dry sauna bath is very high, around 80 to 100 degrees C. If you put your finger in boiling water at a temperature higher than 90 degrees C, you will get badly burned in no time. However, why don’t you get burned in a hot sauna bath? The reason is that, air doesn`t transmit heat as well as water. For example, when you put your finger in boiling water, its heat is transmitted to your finger directly and you will get burned. However, heat is not transmitted to your body directly when you take a hot sauna bath naked. The cool layer of air (vaporization heat) covering your body cuts off heat to some extent.
